Nissan unveils THREE new electric car models as it faces a fight for survival

Nissan will reintroduce the Micra name as a pure EV later this year, shortly followed by a third-generation Leaf. And a new battery-powered Juke is coming in 2026.

Nissan unveiled three new electric vehicles - the Micra EV (releasing later this year), a third-generation Leaf, and an electric Juke (arriving in 2026) - as the company faces potential collapse due to declining sales and increasing competition from Chinese EV manufacturers. The Micra EV will share a platform with the Renault 5 E-Tech, while the Leaf will be built in Sunderland, UK. The company hopes these new EVs will revitalize its sales.
