Families in North Lanarkshire have received nearly £74 million in Child Disability Payment since 2021, supporting over 6,350 disabled children and young people. Nationally, over £1 billion has been paid to more than 97,000 disabled children and young people across Scotland through the program. The payment helps families with the extra costs associated with caring for a disabled child, even without a formal diagnosis.
