North Sea collision latest: Coastguard scrambled and oil tanker on fire after colliding with cargo vessel

HM Coastguard say a rescue helicopter, multiple lifeboats and a fixed wing aircraft have been deployed after MV Solong collides into Stena Immaculate

In the North Sea off the East Yorkshire coast, the US-flagged oil tanker MV Stena Immaculate, carrying jet fuel, collided with the Portugese-flagged cargo ship MV Solong in the Humber Estuary on Monday morning. The collision caused a "massive fireball," multiple explosions, a jet fuel leak, and a fire. Over 30 casualties were brought ashore, with one person hospitalized. All crew members are accounted for. A five-mile air and sea exclusion zone has been established. Authorities are working to contain the fire and address potential environmental damage.
