Galway Libraries' "Fish and Chips – sustainably!" project won the "Best Environmental/Ecological Project" and overall prize at the Local Authority Members Association Awards. Leenane Development Association and Positive Ageing Week Local Heroes were shortlisted in other categories. Other local projects were shortlisted but did not win. The awards recognize collaboration between communities and local authorities.
