The University of Galway's mentor program pairs students with primary school pupils to promote literacy and reading for pleasure. Over 1,400 university students participate in service learning, with a focus on creating a dependable adult relationship and addressing individual reading needs through engaging activities. The program aims to bridge socioeconomic gaps and foster a lifelong love of reading.
