A young woman was raped by her landlord after he plied her with alcohol. In court, she described how the rape and the subsequent access to her medical and counseling records by her abuser and his legal team caused further trauma. The 62-year-old man was convicted by a jury in Cork after a weeklong trial. The woman emphasized the life-altering impact of the rape and urged other victims to come forward. Sentencing was adjourned until April 11th, with the accused remaining in custody.
