People on Attendance Allowance to receive up to £441 each month from April

From April, approximately 1.7 million Attendance Allowance claimants will see weekly payments increase to £73.90 (lower rate) or £110.40 (higher rate), equating to £295.60 or £441.60 monthly, and up to £5,740.80 annually. In Scotland, the Pension Age Disability Payment (PADP) will replace Attendance Allowance by year's end, aligning with DWP payment rates. Both benefits aim to assist individuals of State Pension age with long-term illnesses, disabilities, or conditions, covering daily living costs, without a mobility component. PADP will launch across all of Scotland starting in April, replacing Attendance Allowance.
